Mother's Day in Taiwan

Thank you for your faithful prayers. We had a long and exciting weekend. Stephen preached Saturday evening at Cornerstone Baptist Church. He preached on the burden of sin and of the Christ who sets us free from sin. After the preaching, two young people responded, indicating that they wanted to accept Christ. Others had planted the seed, faithfully watered, and the Lord gave the increase!

The young man who accepted Christ after the chalk talk on Saturday.

On Sunday, Stephen taught during the Sunday School hour and did chalk talks for the morning and evening service. Evelyn was able to minister in music with the harp and piano. It was an exciting Mother's Day!

The day was extra special because it was Evelyn's first Mother's Day as a mommy!

So special! Just want you to know we're still praying for you and enjoying your blog! Evelyn, I enjoyed the picture of you teaching the ladies, especially. I think I might have even seen evidence of Jr. in that one! Looking forward to having you both back home soon.

Love,

Deb Barrows for the family

Hello, Stephen and Evelyn!
It was great hearing your voices on Mother's Day! I was so surprised at how clear your voices were on Skype! I wish I would have been home to hear all your calls, but I guess life has just been too busy for me, and I just happened to be away everytime you called. I miss you both very much, and I am looking forward to your soon return to the States.

Thanks for the birthday card! It was very kind and thoughtful of you to give that to me before you left for your trip! It was also nice to get it after being sick all day!

It is exciting to see how the Lord is using you both for His glory, and it is thrilling to hear of the salvation decisions!

I have been praying for you!--Ruth
